…all because President Obama is about to turn them into a bizzaro WPA (Works Projects Administration) for this new century.
I wonder if the anonymous author of the letter I got yesterday calling President Obama a fascist reads this commentator’s paranoid rants:
“Where will [Obama] get his national police?” The NaPo will be recruited from “young out-of-work urban men” and it will be hailed as a cure for the economic malaise of the inner cities. In other words, Obama will put a thin veneer of training and military structure on urban gangs, and send them out to channel their violence against Obama’s enemies. Instead of doing drive-by shootings in their own neighborhoods, these young thugs will do beatings and murders of people “trying to escape,” people who all seem to be leaders and members of groups that oppose Obama,” Orson Scott Card, [wrote] in an “experiment in fictional thinking” that “sure sounds plausible.”
Geez, Suddenly the Scientologists and John Birchers don’t seem so wacky.
If my Buddy still read the blog I’d have to apologize to him again for my Anti-Republican bigotry.
Thirty years ago Republicans would have commended my prescience and opposition to the Red Plan with its theft of our right to vote on it. Where did those Republicans go? Oh, I forgot. They were either purged for not being crazy enough or became political groupies to wack jobs.
