Here’s one more argument that will make it harder for the Duluth School District to plead poverty. Esko has one of the lowest funding rates for its students and yet they are in the top tier of successful students. That’s according to Northland Newscenter.
Esko, MN (NNCNOW.com) – Don’t judge a school by its funding…Esko public schools rank second to last in per–pupil spending for the state of Minnesota.
But that has no reflection on the students attending Winterquist Elementary School…they rank in the top seventh percentile for math.
Its more complicated that than and I don’t think it would be wise to say that the Duluth Public Schools don’t need more money. You can be pretty sure that Esko doesn’t have 49 kids in any of its classrooms. Its just a damned shame that no one in the Duluth district will confess that the Red Plan raped the educational program.
