The news I’ve just heard has pretty well flushed Dr. Dixon out of my head. I was about half-way through with my meditation on him but even as I was editing what remained I knew I was not really capable of revealing his true character. That would take a book – the one I first contemplated writing about the Red Plan.
Every Red Plan post for the past six years is a testament to his slippery Duluth legacy which the beginning of the series tries, inadequately, to describe. We will eventually transcend his pie-in-the-sky. In the meantime life and death goes on.
I have another book to write about human frailty. I’ll need a few days to get in the mood to resume it.
