At least there’s one newspaper worthy of the title

Bill Hanna of Virginia’s Mesabi Daily News called me ten or so days ago after I sent out a press release and interviewed me for about half an hour. As he says in the article today which followed his call, I wasn’t at a loss for words.

His story led with the Don Quixote angle which I raised first and that’s fair enough. He also mentioned my numerous losses in other races and he had to do that. I was delighted because he let me speak for myself in the story without any hint that my campaign was unworthy. Unlikely maybe, but not unworthy.

If there were a few more newspapers in this district with a nose for news I could make a campaign of it. My only regret is that while he mentioned my waging my campaign on the Internet he failed to mention my website.

I’ll point this out to Bill and, who knows, maybe he’ll rectify it. Inquiring Iron Range minds will want to know.
