recrimination = finger pointing

Whoopsie Daisy! Our richest and poorest elementary schools might might face construction delays.

Its all IV Foster’s fault. The people in charge of the project for the past six years are innocent, I tell you! INNOCENT!!!!!

There was a leadership issue during the past few months, Board Chairwoman Ann Wasson said.

“Clearly Superintendent (I.V.) Foster had chosen to stay away from the long-range plan,” she said Tuesday. “He said, “That’s over, that was (Keith) Dixon’s deal, we’re moving ahead with education.” Some pieces were left behind and forgotten and that’s what happened.”

Because Gronseth has met with and updated state education department officials on the status of the long-range plan, Wasson is optimistic that no problems will arise.

“The buildings aren’t jeopardized,” she said. “We’re going to make sure everything gets done.”

Foster could not be reached for comment Tuesday night.

District officials have said they hoped to award construction contracts for the two schools by March in order for work to begin in late spring.
