Countdown 62 Days

I donated a pint of blood this morning after our men’s church meeting. When I ordered an early lunch afterward and then attempted to knock on doors I got a good look at what the phlebotomists mean when they tell a donor to take it easy for the rest of the day and avoid lifting anything heavy. I started around UMD having only drunk most of my grattis cranberry juice. I got one sign location but I was dragging myself to the car on the sixth block.

Speaking of donations:

I took a rare afternoon off to recover. Now its past 10PM and I’ve got enough stamina to mention a few things from the recent past.

First there is this:

I have a subscription to what’s left of the Duluth News Tribune but I often forget the password and give up after reading a couple intro paragraphs. A week ago I peaked at it and saw that once again a Tribber described me as a “perennial candidate.” I was not impressed but a couple days ago I got a full look and by God they took my most hard hitting criticisms of Pete Stauber and put in the Duluth Paper. I hope Forum made sure that its handful of other NE Minnesota papers carried it too. If they did that 200% better than any coverage I got two years ago. Some Duluthians are still reading the Trib online and Pete Stauber has to be praying to the God he breaks oaths to that he never faces me. Don’t worry. He will hope his vast money advantage saves him as he raises money like a serf for Donald Trump’s criminal defenses.

I am finally putting the dribs and drabs of money I’ve raised for the past 14 days into my bank accounts. Really they are dribs and drabs but I need so little money with the big purchases I’ve made I think I can have a little fun with something like this:

btw db stands for Donation Button which is how I’ll remember in the future to put one on every blog entry
