I used to have readers here – I used to post all the time

Maybe it was devoting 2 hours a day to trying to learn French five years ago that stifled my old habit of writing posts. For much of the 17 year history of Lincolndemocrat.com I put that and more into cranking out posts, often – usually not carefully proof read to an uncertain audience. I had begun putting in those kinds of hours even earlier in 1999 when I created an early website which also remains, www.snowbizz.com. That website was created when I found that Microsoft had made software called Frontpage that didn’t require learning HTML script writing. It was a drag and drop program and you can see how I used it for the next ten years until Microsoft stopped supporting it after which I stopped being able to add new snow sculptures or books on my reading list to it. Still It remains and I plunder it occasionally when I want to find something quickly and harp about it again for my column in the Duluth Reader or even here in old posts no one looks at anymore……except me when again I want to review or plunder old material.

God learning a new language is hard…….especially if like me you want to be almost as good at it as a native speaker. That will be ten years from now if I don’t give up.

This is Old Years day just ahead of News Years Day. I last posted something here on November 27th. My last five or so columns for the Reader haven’t been linked to here yet. That’s about all I’ve uploaded for a couple years now. Yet almost every day I have a half dozen things I tell myself I should comment on.

I’ll stop here…….having said almost nothing I thought I should get off my mind.
