When perception is reality

This is the back side of a 1996 cartoon/pamphlet I picked up at the Eighth District Convention a couple weeks ago.

My 12-year-old Grandson found it in my office among a little pile of stuff I’ve been picking up at Republican gatherings. He was astonished at its ridiculousness wrapped in cartoon seriousness. I didn’t blame him. I imagined copying its 24 pages of paranoia and commenting on them here. Gran’pa Jack was too late to save these kids.

and heres a link to a column prompted by yet another mass murder where none of the NRA’s “good guys” was around to intervene.

To those who ask me why I’m not a Democrat and am returning to the GOP I ask this. Am I needed in the Democratic party to talk gun enthusiasts off the ledge?
