lawnsigns

I believe I commented earlier that I didn’t see any of Roger Reinert’s signs in the Denfeld area when I stuck up a few signs there yesterday. This morning I had the chance to answer a question I had about them when I walked home from Perkins at about 5:30 AM. It looked to me as though Roger’s signs were the same as two years ago when he won the house seat and that he had simply manufactured a bumper sticker saying “for Senate” to slap over “for Representative.” Along Jefferson St. I passed a Reinert sign and paused to sweep my hand across it to see if there was a slight raised area where I suspected the lawnsign. I was right.

This could explain the limited number of signs. Like me Roger may have only bought bumper stickers for what ever signs he had left over and fixed them. He surely lost half of his signs last time and now he has a district twice as big to run in.

I too have old signs. Half of them I took a utility knife to and cut off not irrelevant and inaccurate info. I also affixed a new disclaimer on one side of all my signs. That disclaimer is nothing more than mailing labels I printed out at home.

Its nice to know that I’m not the only frugal candidate.
