To heck with the passive aggressive Palin comment

A critic has taken me to task for the last post on Sarah P. to wit:

“Long pauses, huh?” Consider how fast Palin spoke after she started to speak. Perhaps her pauses were a result of the technology of the connection between her and O’Reilly. However, perhaps pausing to think before speaking, should occur more frequently than it does. And perhaps you were simply being snide.

My reply:

Your damn right I was being snide.

Her replies to the softball queries Oh Really asked her were her trade mark rapid fire cliche loaded crap. This is why she’s wearing so thin that only 30% of the population considers her presidential timber. I suppose the 30% are mostly composed of “dittoheads” who prefer to have someone else do their thinking for them.

Of course, that’s an even more snide thing to say than suggesting that she has to pause and collect herself when asked a fairly simple question that she had probably never considered.

She quit the Governor’s office. The Republicans of Alaska’s legislature wanted her to go. She is never put in the position of having to do give and take in front of serious reporters. This was a rare example of that and she was certainly in friendly territory. She is calling the shots getting crackpots nominated for the GOP statewide races and making a mint in the process. It all seems to be about the mint. Its damn hard for me to be chivalrous in the face of such callow, successful, venality. And yes, it may be jealousy on my part. If so, its the forty years of serious minded reading and thinking I’ve done looking at windy, vacuity and realizing that there are times that people prefer eating bullshit than vegetables.

Harry

And I should add that I agree with my critic. Sarah Palin ought to think before she gets in front of a microphone. That would be a refreshing change.
