Only after they are built there may be precious few students attending them. It sounds just like Duluth.
Orr and Tower are in revolt against the JCI driven rebuilding of schools in the St. Louis County System. Orr obviously has problems none of which really relate to the condition of their old school. But Orr and Tower taxpayers will pay a heavy price to build a new school that may not get many students.
I got a call today alerting me that Senator Tom Bakk was on MPR touting his Gubernatorial campaign. I didn’t tune in. Tom ignored his Duluth constituents when they complained about the Red Plan and his help gutting a bill introduced by Mike Jaros which would have guaranteed a referendum on the Red Plan. It was more important for him to keep the unions happy than the one-third of his constituents who live in Duluth. Now his northern constituents are in the JCI soup. They are counting on him to save the day. Good luck with that.
