Vingt-sept, Day twenty-seven

The pity of American politics has dogged us through the cathedrals, walled cities, vineyards and battlegrounds of France. A good look at France has helped me put our two nations in perspective and given me much to think about.

I look forward to our return home where my family and civic responsibilities remain. Absence does make the heart grow fonder. My grandfather was gone for better than a year and almost didn’t make it back. Talk about a contrast. You can see it from my my month’s worth of pictures. I didn’t have a lot to say about them in Facebook today.

From Facebook:

More eye candy. A book signing across from our hotel by the former French President, subway selfie, acceptance of a marriage proposal, Moulin Rouge and a dozen pics from an afternoon riding a sight seeing bus.

Sorry the photos are taking a little time to upload to my Flickr account.
