Maybe the District won’t increase the levy to pay for health care retiree obligations without a vote. There must be an election looming.
This is about the only spending the School Board is not rushing along.
Its good these liabilities have been made known. Up to now the money needed for them have simply been set aside from operations. As the liabilities grow the impact on operations worsens. Severance for teachers is an even bigger drain.
