Pixie Dust

At about five this evening I was burnt to a crisp. Remember the Phoenix? If I’m up to it tomorrow I’ll write about my day tomorrow.

The Tan Man came over with his Mother as I keeled over. He saw me putzing with the computer filling out forms for the surety bond we will be posting and wanted me to go to the Thomas the Tank Engine website. Instead I left my work undone and walked down to the basement in a daze where I collapsed on our sofa as his Mother put “Trusty Friends” into the DVD Player. As I lay immobile my Grandson chased our cat Tannit around me. Laid on me. Got behind my knees and emptied the coaster tray and put the coasters back in. Pretended to sleep on me. Over the course of the videos it was like being sprinkled with magic dust.

I revived enough to take every one out to dinner and by eight o’clock when we returned I felt like the Phoenix did after it rose from the ashes. I’ve got a lot more “discovery” to work on as it turns out. I’ll be posting my replies for you to read. I’ve got to overnight our $100,000 cashiers check to the bonding company. It doesn’t sounds difficult but if I take a little detour tomorrow to explain how I became a zombie by the end of the day you may understand why my wife thinks the stress is pushing me to early Alzheimers. Good, then maybe I’ll understand out School Board – and our Newspaper.

Its been a long time since posts today and I just couldn’t leave my readers hanging. I stopped and read the comments in the Trib’s Online paper regarding the editorial explaining how great it will be to cram 1600 kids into a telephone booth at Ordean. Yup, that’s just how we should spend $51 million. The Trib liked the idea of the Aquarium too as I recall. It was going to be a big money maker.

Yeah, and the Trib still hasn’t gotten around to reporting the $7 million we’re losing each year from kids fleeing the Duluth Schools. Don’t worry, after we indebt ourselves the whole $293 million of the Red Plan these refugees will come flocking back to the new brick and mortar. Heck, the kids will love it. No teachers left to make them tow the line.

Sorry Duluth. I’m keeping the Tan Man. There’s not enough Pixie Dust in the whole world to fix what the Trib is helping break with its silence, myopia and rah rah spirit.
