A meretricious story delayed

Geez, when I woke up I was afraid that explaining this story would fritter away some lovely yard raking weather. I’d already spent an hour working on it last night. Today between dozens of phone calls I’ve pressed on. Its a pain explaining something that has become moot but I’ve invested too much time to give up on it now. I’m stuck at 1,500 words twice what the Trib would take as a column. That’s waaay too long.

My darned cat keeps jumping on my lap for attention and fur is flying all over (I’m alergic to cats) so I’m just a little cranky. I’m going to take a break – post another thank you – fix a sandwich and go talk with a real attorney. When I’ve done that, whoo boy, I’ll retreat from the daylight again and keep editing. My eight loyal readers want to know what’s going on.

Darned Trib.
