And the School Board will begin its new year

As Loren Martell informed us in his most recent Duluth Reader column our last meeting of 2016 was consequential:

I think I’ve met my waterloo. I admit I can’t even begin to do justice to this monstrous, meaty meeting in two pages. My aplogies to any participant who feels he or she gets short shrift in this article. To cover this meeting adequately would require the entire Reader. I recommend that interested citizens view it on youTube, but doing so will require tossing nearly four hours of much more pleasant things from your life: Board meeting 12/20/16.

I was likely one of the participants that Loren apologized to for the “short shrift.” I didn’t merit one mention or quote although I was hardly silent. Sweet anonymity.

At 4:30 this afternoon the Board will convene again to “reorganize” and elect new officers for the new year. It won’t be as meaty but it will be every bit as consequential.
