Everyone stops me

A year ago Rep Mary Murphy told a House Tax Committee hearing that she couldn’t go anywhere in Duluth without being sidelined for half an hour by someone who wanted to talk to her about the Red Plan. I know what she means.

Yesterday a contractor stopped by to give me an estimate on the sewer replacement ordered by the City. He spent twenty minutes telling me how he is preparing to leave Duluth with his kids he’s so mad at the School Board.

Today the receptionist at Memorial Blood Center told me how as a school board member in Southern Minnesota she had to help get rid of a superintendent that everybody loved when their Board discovered that he had bankrupted the District. At least her school board asked questions. She said she knew early on that this project was tainted.

I told the nurse who drew my pint that the only place I give more blood is at the ballot box.
