Charter wing clipping pays off

I caught WDIO’s late night news and saw that Rep. Erik Simonson’s threat to clip the wings of charter schools has paid off handsomely. The four Board members who voted on Tuesday to shut down my motion to give us a couple weeks to negotiate a possible Central High School sales agreement were clustered around him announcing their endorsement for his Senate run. The Trib has it covered too.

I sent Erik an email noting their endorsement and expressing my hope that with the loss of the biggest offer to date for the costly Central site he would be offering them suggestions on how to get the Duluth School System out of our fiscal frying pan at rep.erik.simonson@house.mn.
