One more reason the levy faces heavy sledding

From the Trib

“Duluth-area residents may get slapped by a jump in heating prices as high as 50 percent, and if they can’t pay, there’s less of a chance that nonprofit agencies will have money to help.”

Here’s what J.M. said on a Sept 3rd. Trib Online talk back:

Duluth, MN 9/4 5:18 PM “After just receiving my Comfort system bill today, reflecting my NEW budget amount for the upcoming 11 months, I am now forced to vote “ZERO” on all operational levies! Instead of $99 a month, I will now be paying $185, and this I know is because of our OTHER idiotic administration! I WAS going to try to at least keep it at the existing amount of $365 per pupil, but thanks to our school board and Mayor, I will be dropping my vote down to zero, zero and more ZERO!”
