Being Vague

Dr. Dixon is not happy to have it reported on this blog that he has encouraged the School Board to be “vague” about what the fall operational levy will pay for. Karen who first reported this takes umbrage with his denial and has a precise quote from the meeting where he advised the board.

She tell us:

“I too found the last levy discussion more interesting than other meetings because members were not actually rubber stamping Dixon’s proposals. But the word of the last mtg was “vague”. Dixon started off by saying the old approach to a levy was “If you buy a levy what do you get?” so they needed to be vague about how the money would be used and not make promises. Here is a quote from Dixon. “… vaguer about what they can do” regarding how levy money can be used. He used a chart that showed similar SIZE districts and guess what Duluth didn’t fare well next to So Washington(Woodbury)Average market value of a home there is $302,442. Duluth $154,762.”
