The Strib reports on the Red Plan

I can’t say I was thrilled with the Story from the Minneapolis Star Tribune on our trauma here in Duluth. That’s probably because it is even handed. If I were reading from outside Duluth not knowing the particulars I’d want to side with the people who seem to be working for the kids….Dr. Dixon and his Red Plan.

The problem with a short article covering a year’s worth of crisis manglement is that it simply can’t get at the roots. Sure we have some lousy classroom lab space. But it shouldn’t take $300 million dollars to fix that.

The Reporter did send me something of an applogy a couple days ago about the story being edited back by her superiors. Oh well they may not have heard the last of us.
