Last year I took my littlest grandson, age 3, Jake to watch the robotics regional at the DECC for a couple hours. It was a hoot. I highly recommend it to any and all who would like to see a mental competition on a par with the best sports has to offer.
Here’s the Daredevil’s website. It shows the schedule for the team’s upcoming competition. Be there or be square.
The school board got an email from their advisor telling us that the Duluth team was taking the Hawaiian team on a sledding expedition. How cool is that?
Duluth East is not alone. the Denfeld team will also be in competition in a different regional according to Tim Velner. I still think its at the DECC on the same few days leading up to the weekend. From Tim Velner:
The FIRST Robotics Tournament takes place at the DECC March 6 – 8. Denfeld Nation Automation (DNA) will be competing in the Lake Superior Regional while Duluth East Daredevils will be competing in the Northern Lights Regional.
You can find links to the webcast of both regionals as well as links to the schedule and standings on the Daredevils website: www.daredevils2512.org . We hope to webcast the practice rounds on Thursday afternoon, Friday competition begins at 9:00AM. These competitions will break the FIRST world record for the largest number of FRC teams under one roof for a regional event. Teams are competing for a spot in the FIRST World Championships in St. Louis, MO in April.
