Gunning for Glass

Tonight the Board jumped on Gary Glass suggesting that, by golly, he ought to park his brain in the Superintendent’s office like all the rest of them have. How dare he think he can represent the voters who elected him when he’s just a minority on the Board.

Chair Grover rightly said there wasn’t much they could do about it.

For his part Glass said:

Glass, who would only address the issue by e-mail, sent the following statement: “Please do not confuse conflict of interest (money) with conflict of ideas or beliefs. For the latter, everyone’s free expression of their ideas or beliefs is protected by the Constitution of the U.S.”

There’s nothing new in this other than the Trib’s mention of it. When Board member Cameron said that Glass should be removed from the Board a few months ago that wasn’t mentioned in the paper.
