President Burnham’s complaint………Well, there’s no more accurate way of putting it than with the simple truth…….pissed me off. I tried to track her down but it was late Friday and too late to reach her although I drove to her school and called the DFT offices up on Central Entrance. Rather than have it gnaw at me I did what this blog allows me to do, put my thoughts on paper (or in a blog post) to clear my mind. I had a lot of things to tell her that transcended the issue of whether or not I should have said that an unnamed employee might be subject to termination.
I do have an obligation to protect the employee’s identity. At this point I rather hope the employee resumes work at ISD 709 although that is anything but assured. Owing to the mean spirited things I’m encountering I’m starting to feel a little mean spirited in return. Damn human frailty. Consequently, after much thought, I have decided not to X out any of the other names that are mentioned in this letter.
I will post my four page letter here tomorrow morning after I read through it again and remove anything that would get me or any innocents in trouble.
