I don’t think the new school board can do it without me. But, I’m a little fatalistic. Our schools will probably heal. It may take longer without me but then I once thought we’d never close an unnecessary high school and look what happened. History takes surprising turns.<\/p>\nNo. I’m just satisfied because I finally feel like I’ve won the freedom to say what I think. That’s a perquisite of old age. So is acting like a kid when you are really 62. I sort of pity the kids in their teens and twenties, who with all their health, vigor and future, are in a constant state of confusion and anxiety. <\/p>\nI may hurl down imprecations like the one I tossed out in the last post but gosh it feels good to do it.
