Minnesota’s gubenatorial race has\u00c2\u00a0been Mike Hatch’s to lose for the past several weeks\u00c2\u00a0after he charged ahead of Governor Pawlenty in recent polls. Mike’s thin skin has just jeopardized this lead.<\/p>\n

When Hatch’s running mate Judy Dutcher muffed a question about the mysterious sounding term E-85 a special blend of ethanol of great interest to Minnesota’s farmers Hatch snapped at reporters who were dogging\u00c2\u00a0his running mate for her ignorance\u00c2\u00a0of the subject.<\/p>\n

Hatch\u00c2\u00a0called\u00c2\u00a0one of the\u00c2\u00a0reporters asking him about the gaffe\u00c2\u00a0“a Republican whore.” Today that’s Reporter’s newspaper has turned the story into a front page story<\/a>. Its suggestion that Hatch’s temperment might make him an unpleasant Governor could help snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.<\/p>\n
