I found it interesting that in 1947, three years before I was born, 11% of consumer spending went to &#8220;government. Today&#8217;s figure is 13%. RUN AND HIDE EVERYONE!<\/p>\n<p>After the Cold War, the Federal Highway&#8217;s program, the Great Society and Medicare that seems pretty modest. I&#8217;m sure its more complicated than that.
