I was delighted to find this video clip on the Daily Dish<\/a>. My Dad was a big Romney booster and was crushed that Romney’s line about his having been “brainwashed” in 1965 into thinking our growing Vietnam efforts were necessary should cause him to be ridiculed out of the GOP’s Presidential consideration in 1968.<\/p>\n

We got Dick Nixon then because the Party’s warhawks and Dr. Strangeloves had too much pull. They were a lot like the Ft. Sumpter bombing South Carolinians of today who are trying to foist Newt Gingrich on the Nation. No thank you. Its too bad Mitt is such a pale shadow of his Father. <\/p>\n

If we had heeded Romney’s call we could have avoided killing a million Vietnamese and 50,000 Americans.
