{"id":3934,"date":"2011-08-24T10:11:31","date_gmt":"2011-08-24T15:11:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lincolndemocrat.com\/?p=3934"},"modified":"2011-08-24T13:23:54","modified_gmt":"2011-08-24T18:23:54","slug":"excelsior-squirts-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lincolndemocrat.com\/?p=3934","title":{"rendered":"Excelsior squirts back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is my interpretation of<a href=\"http:\/\/www.duluthnewstribune.com\/event\/article\/id\/207585\/group\/Opinion\/\"> Excelsior&#8217;s pushback <\/a>in Today&#8217;s Trib:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Trib did a lousy job describing why $40 million has been spent on our company with little to show for it.<\/p>\n<p>Excelsior has given all its spending info to its funding sources &#8211; the government, but not the public. Translation. Tom Bakk knows how we spent our money. You don&#8217;t need to know. (left unsaid: Thank goodness someone &#8211; not Tom Bakk &#8211; made sure we get to keep our secrets by law)<\/p>\n<p>The IRRRB loaned us $9.5 million. That stopped 4 years ago so no more good money from them after bad. <\/p>\n<p>Starting a new energy company is hard work. We&#8217;ve been given the permits to move our energy just not the right to move it on other people&#8217;s wires or any demand for our energy.<\/p>\n<p>Our coal will be cleaned up.
