This would be my nominee for the State of Arkansas’s memorial to “the unborn<\/a>.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

As for living children Trump has no use for them if they live in “shithole” countries we have as national policy tried to help and influence for 65 years. In another paywalled story today in the NY Times about the two week dismantling of USAID I found this humorously vile anecdote so typical of Trumps Christian spirit. It involves Musk’s desire to find a “viral” story to make Americans hate a non Trumpy government….and this generally means spreading bullshit in the name of frank honesty.<\/p>\n

From the Times: I read about this memorial in another paywalled NY Times story<\/a> about how this memorial is facing trouble getting built in Pro-life Arkansas.<\/p>\n

As for Trump’s gutting aid for children here is what I copied from that Times Story (also paywalled<\/a>):<\/strong><\/p>\n

“After Ms. Leavitt\u2019s briefing, U.S.A.I.D. staff went to Laken Rapier, the agency\u2019s political appointee for public affairs, and told her that the money in question wasn\u2019t for condoms, but for family planning more broadly, such as birth-control pills, according to people familiar with the exchange.<\/p>\n

More important, the Gaza in question was Gaza province, a part of Mozambique, in southern Africa \u2014 almost 4,000 miles away from the Gaza Strip. They urged Ms. Rapier to alert the White House, so it could at least avoid repeating the statement.<\/p>\n

The warnings from staff went unheeded. The following day, Mr. Trump expanded on the claim during a White House event. \u201cWe identified and stopped $50 million being sent to Gaza to buy condoms for Hamas,\u201d he said, generating laughter. Mr. Trump added that Hamas used condoms \u201cas a method of making bombs,\u201d without explaining what that meant.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese were the types of payments, and many others,\u201d Mr. Trump said. \u201cI could stand here all day and tell you the things that we found.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if Mr. Trump knew at the time that his statement about Gaza was false, a White House spokeswoman, Anna Kelly, did not address the question.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
