Previous post<\/a><\/p>\n Next post<\/a><\/p>\n The Category “Blog Housekeeping”<\/a> is apparently the 78th category I’ve created in just short of 20 years of blogging. That’s the category I first placed this post – in process of being written – under. There about about 20 times six such posts to date. <\/p>\n This particular post begins with the pic I just took of two books I’ve been reading lately. I am about to make it discursive by telling what I think is a humorous anecdote from an hour ago involving my swearing at fever pitch not realizing that my wife had come home from an errand. Then I’ll mention some stories in today’s news that were the subject of my cursing. Then I’ll talk about Lincoln and China and perhaps where America is leading Earth.<\/p>\n In other words. Quit while you are ahead<\/p>\n Blog Stats<\/strong><\/p>\n In many ways I miss the original order of my blog Lincolndemocrat.com. The name itself has been a little problematic since I chose it the year I decided the Republican Party had finally gone over the brink. A few years later I bought the domaine Lincolnrepublican.com when I contemplated rescuing Abe’s namesake from the stranglehold of the people turning it into a proto-cult of Deep State paranoia, Fetus worship, 1st Amendment subjugation to the 2nd Amendment and the penis sucking of billionaires (which a few of the good ones don’t want or need).<\/p>\n This blog is based on the platform Word Press which has a great many features I am too much of an old dog to try to learn. If you would like to see the antique pre-millennial way I loved using until Steve Jobs people abandoned FrontPage the early website building ap you can visit my mouldering www.snowbizz.com<\/a> website.<\/p>\n Now I divide my writing time mostly between an attempt to maintain weekly 1000 word columns in a Duluth, Minnesota based paper tabloid whose name its publisher keeps telling me I screw up. You can see most of the last two thirds of my columns<\/a> on its website which sometimes misses the print run. BTW – In linking to the site I discovered it has my latest column published already, Tad and Dad.<\/a><\/p>\n I hadn’t finished my snow sculptor of the image when I submitted it but as the temperature dropped I quit working on it only half satisfied with my crude images of the two faces. Its so cold now that they are not likely to deteriorate for at least a week should the remain free from vandalism. They look like this in snow:<\/p>\n By the way I’ve copied this image from my Flickr Page. Flickr is an old photo storage site I’ve used since the days of snowbizz.com which has about ten million more of my photos than I want on the Cloud. I have several other such sites Google being one which grab all my photos as I take them from my phone and put them on the damned cloud before I can sort through them. As I tend to take five to twenty images to find the best one I get 4 to 19 more images on the Internet than I want. <\/p>\n Blog organization<\/strong> <\/p>\n There is something else I miss from my first blog and that is the progression of posts from one to the next. That was a feature originally so that you could go to a post and if it was in series or part of a series you could simply jump back and forth between posts. You will see at the top of this post I have written “previous post” and “next post.” The former I linked just now to its predecessor. That only took 30 seconds. It was however something I had to stop and manually accomplish that wasn’t necessary 15 years ago. I have yet to link to the next post which is not yet written and will require even more fiddling. IF I BOTHER to do it.<\/p>\n The anecdote <\/strong><\/p>\n There was a story about a researcher who studies cursing in today’s NYTimes. I have my own theories about swearing and have mentioned them perhaps five times according to my searching this phrase on my blog: Swearing and my Dad<\/a>. So as I read the New York Times stories about the raping of our government by Donald Trump I thought about the previous post I’d written describing his Republican prostitutes and fellating him and I let loose sort of a practice fusillade of curse heavy fulmination from our sun room mentioning my rationale for Democracy’s supporters to hunt him down with a sniper rifle if he crosses too many lines. As the bastard has done much the same thing himself I am simply returning the compliment with a very big IF inserted to slow rational people down. He hasn’t crossed the lines yet. One of those lines would be the Supreme Court. If he pulls an Andy Jackson and says: let them use their army to prevent me from exterminating Indians <\/em> on any of a number of laws that or Congress has put into law then I’ll consider the line to have been crossed. I note that today he has stopped his offer of remuneration for Federal employees who took up his cause to fire the federal work force so he can replace conscientious federal employees with his penis suckers. Jackson did much the same thing when there was a miniscule federal workforce and America wasn’t the protector of democracy around the world.<\/p>\n So, my wife was in the house upstairs and heard me use the most horrid putrescence some of which is suggested above. I was surprise when she barged into the sunroom to see what the hell was going on and thinking of the NYTimes piece<\/a> laughed at the ridiculousness of my distemper. <\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54321332758_934f4765c8.jpg\")
