I’ve shared a pic or two of my postit notes stuck on my attic walls of ideas for things to write before. I jot things down on church bulletins during sermons and send them to myself in email so as not to forget. Here is one very small portion of the wall:

What Trump said about slavery<\/strong> (In which the master of disunion and chaos opines that he could have patched America together better than Lincoln did) “Trump also mentioned slavery while discussing the Civil War this month, but only in passing. Instead, he focused his commentary on what he described as Abraham Lincoln\u2019s failure to avert the war through negotiation.
\n\u201cThe Civil War was so fascinating. So horrible. It was so horrible but so fascinating. \u2026 I\u2019m so attracted to seeing it,\u201d he said in Iowa on Jan. 6. \u201cSo many mistakes were made. And thinking about what I might incorporate into a book<\/strong> for a Congressional campaign here is a picture I took comparing my roughly 340 columns for the Reader with James Herndon’s Lincoln.<\/p>\n
