Because of <a href=\"https:\/\/duluthreader.com\/articles\/2022\/02\/24\/120673-my-valentines-day-heart-attack\">my recent heart attack<\/a> I am on some serious blood thinners for at least the next six months. <\/p>\n<p>I asked the scheduler if he could tell me how many donations I&#8217;d made up to this point and he told me 119 pints. He added that I was just one pint short of three five gallon pails. &#8220;I could paint my house with that.&#8221; I replied. Shortly afterward I told my wife and her reaction was not unexpected. &#8220;Gross,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>I wrote a column in the Reader to celebrate my 100 donation a few years ago.
