One person at last night&#8217;s meeting wondered where all the workers were on one project on a recent Friday. Apparently since they all come up from the Twin Cities they liked to knock off early in the week to get home.<\/p>\n<p>Several other folks mentioned that a lot of these work sites have pick up trucks all over with no company logo on them. The word is &#8211; yes its a rumor &#8211; that they were all warned not to drive up with out of town company names on their doors.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, of the last $32 million just authorized by the Board for new Red Plan projects only 16% of the work is being done by local contractors.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently when Tom Kasper, a good union man, mentioned this at a recent union meeting there was shock and consternation.
