Glass Steagall&#8217;s revocation in the 1990&#8217;s may have been a Republican talking point but Democrat President Bill Clinton signed it into law. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gramm-Leach-Bliley_Act\">This wikipedia link <\/a>Vic sent me gives a good history and clearly demonstrates that Republicans not Democrats were the driving force behind its revocation.<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t realize that one of my good moderate sensible Republican heroes, Rep. Jim Leach, of Iowa was one of the Bill&#8217;s authors.
