Fun with websites and a disclaimer

I’ll probably be unhappily fussing over my website Welty4Congress.com until the end of the week. I’ve bought the domain name, I’ve asked my web provider to make the link www.welty4congress.com work. (That hasn’t happened yet) I’ve got to sort out the failure of the site’s internal links to work. Its definitely not ready for prime time. Oh well. I’m making progress.

I just figured out the URL which will temporarily take people to the site which doesn’t yet have so much as a picture of me in it or any decent graphics. Because I am the web master (a joke) I will not spend much time improving upon it once the basics are installed. Of the 10 pages that can be viewed so far only half are settled. I may have that remedied by later in the morning.

Even though it embarasses me a little to give anyone an early peek at an ugly site is what I have up at the moment.

Disclaimer: Its written in the third person, “He”, “Harry” etc. The truth is I’m writing this stuff. The “I” word is so Iish. Good form requires the illusion of humility but, honestly, when you read: “A candidate with a rare gift for bipartisanship even in today’s toxic political atmosphere” its not some ad man or some smitten staffer writing that glowing stuff. Its me. I’m the man behind the curtain. I also believe what I’ve written about myself humility and the third person be damned.
