Finally a teacher speaks II

Yesterday’s commentary by teacher Tom Tusken was a pro red plan piece. Today’s letter to the editor by Kris Osbakken is “unconscionable.”

(For those who read this seven days from now after the DNT dumps the link to this letter I should explain. The letter mentions half a dozen “unconscionable” consequences of the Red Plan. Too many kids in classes; dumping kids in an overcrowded middle school etc.

I’m impressed that a teacher would finally speak out publicly about the grim stories I’ve been hearing second hand for the last six or seven months. Kris is a substitute teacher so that lack of a permanent position may give her the courage to speak out. I recognize her name. In one more example of the strange bedfellows aspect of Red Plan politics I’m pretty sure Kris was once a candidate for public office that I poked some fun at in a letter to the editor when I supported her opponent. If I was a good journalist I’d call and confirm that but I’m not that ambitious at 7:45 AM.
