The blame game

The public is about to get two really grim reports about the finances of the Duluth Schools in coming days. I’ll give my eight loyal readers advance notice of one of these issues here tonight as it has already been reported to investors everywhere.

But first, After my first two years with Red Plan Status Quo types expending all their energy to prevent Art Johnston and I from exploring our finances and then trying to remove him at the princely cost of $200,000 taxpayer dollars I think its time for the public to appreciate what the largely DFL backed School Board of the last decade has left them. Wreckage. Wreckage. Wreckage.

And the Duluth News Tribune’s editors heap all the blame on we few souls in the minority who have simply tried to stave off the assault and abuse of the Red Plan majority. Our questions were ugly. Our refusing to surrender was ugly. Goodness knows the majority censuring Art and me was ugly……so it was our fault. The cure? More inexperienced but DFL endorsed school board members yet to be contaminated with the destruction of the Red Plan ……which, of course, had nothing to do with the news I’m about to report…

Certainly the grand Red Planner, Rosie Loeffler-Kemp, was heartily endorsed by the Trib and has been lauded by innumerable old PTA friends from her past. She’s the biggest fan of our Superintendent you could possibly find on our School Board…..as all the others have had the good sense to melt away rather than face the voters.

We’ll see if the voters blame Art and me very soon… The next post will herald the new more difficult Era we face on the Duluth School Board.
