Internal savings not going so well

Word has recently gotten out that administrative cuts that have been implemented by the Dixon administration have not gone so well. When the new Assistant Superintendent, Joe Hill, took over he was going to do the work of both the Curriculum Director and the Operations Director. But the workload has proven too great and a new Curriculum Director will be hired on an expensive temporary basis. This step backwards will not help the District as it faces a $5.9 million defict.

Another administrator will be camouflaged making it look like he’s been eliminated from the administration by having his salary paid for from a huge $9.2 million Safe and Healthy Schools Grant that the District was recently awarded. What the grant givers would make of having their funds used to pay for District administration is anybody’s guess.
